Job Description

Assemblers work as a team to produce components and package products in accordance with production procedures. Inspect components and assemblies to ensure compliance with product drawings and quality assurance procedures

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the role of the Production Assembler is to work as a team to produce components and package products in accordance with production procedures. Inspect components and assemblies to ensure compliance with product drawings and quality assurance procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Produce and package products in accordance with production procedures.
  • Record operational and production data.
  • Perform quality checks on products and parts using precision measuring equipment to ensure compliance with product drawings and quality assurance standards.
  • Maintain tools and equipment and organize clean work areas.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent with formal training

Skills & Competencies

  • Able to complete work assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
  • Able to think critically and coordinate efforts with others to achieve goals.
  • Able to effectively utilize basic shop math skills.
  • Able to read, write, and comprehend English at a level to effectively utilize and interpret work instructions and safety information.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Physical Requirements: able to stand for long periods of time doing repetitious motions; use of hands and fingers to grasp, manipulate, and assemble objects; sit, walk, twist, stoop, kneel; lift heavy objects using arms and hands, sometimes overhead; talk and hear; and see close, at a distance, and peripherally.
  • Working Conditions: employees are provided with personal protective equipment while working in a well-lit production environment with regular exposure to noise.
